1937 Buffalo Nickel

January 15, 2009

The 1937 nickel is a good one for collectors. The 1937 D “3 Legged” Buffalo Nickel is a highly sought after coin by avid collectors.  One of the reasons for this is because the die was not done properly which resulted in the buffalo on the front having what appeared to be 3 and 1/2 legs.

Anytime that there is an error or any sort of “difference” in a coin, it becomes collectible.
